Dr. Kathleen Metcalfe, C.Psych.
Dr. Kathleen Metcalfe is a registered Clinical Psychologist in good standing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario with competency in Clinical, Health and Rehabilitation Psychology with adolescents and adults. She received her Doctorate of Clinical Psychology (Psy. D.) from Adler University in Chicago, Illinois, with a concentration in Traumatic Stress.
Throughout her doctoral training, she worked in a variety of settings including primary care settings, private practice and university mental health settings. Her education and training placed considerable emphasis on trauma, emotional awareness, and attentiveness to how structural and systemic issues impact overall health and wellness. Her program emphasized combining Clinical Psychology theory, training and knowledge with a social justice perspective. As a clinician, she works to incorporate a deep appreciation for the mind-body connection with a social justice perspective in her work. She works with a variety of clients, including individuals struggling with chronic pain and medical issues, LGBTQ folks, workplace stressors and burnout, individuals with mood and anxiety issues, individuals with various forms of trauma, relationship difficulties, intense emotions, body image, and eating difficulties.
